The 10th Annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days, a global network of music events presented by the Daniel Pearl Foundation, are being held October 1st through October 31st.

World Music Days - a worldwide awareness-raising initiative supporting the theme of "Harmony for Humanity" - has grown to include the participation of more than 6,700 performances in 111 countries. It is dedicated to the memory of Daniel Pearl, "the former Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan shortly after 9/11. During his life, Danny used his pen and his fiddle to bridge cultural divides and spread friendship wherever he traveled. World Music Days provides an opportunity for musicians from around the world to come together to carry on this important part of his legacy."

This is how World Music Days works:

• Artists make a brief dedication, from the stage or in a printed program, to the theme "Harmony for Humanity" at any of their regularly scheduled October events.

• Artists register on the World Music Days website to confirm their participation and promote their events.

DVE's Jim Krenn will be hosting the Gilda's Club Great Comic Search FINALS, being held at the Improv Comedy Club Pittsburgh on Thursday, September 22nd.

Beginning at 8:00pm, this event – Laughing in the face of Cancer - is the culminating event of our annual "Faces of Gilda’s Club" campaign, which began three years ago during Young Adult Cancer Awareness week in April. The campaign consists of outstanding individuals who commit to raising money and funds for Gilda’s Club throughout a 6-month period between April and September. All proceeds will be used to fund the Clubhouse located at 2816 Smallman Street in the Strip, where a philosophy of "cancer support for the whole family, the whole time" is brought to life by developing programs that support those whose lives are affected by cancer.

In this cast I am interviewed by Tim Koskuba @KO_Skuba, the same guy who interviewed Jonny "Bones" Jones 2 years ago and predicted Mr.Bones' UFC Light Heavy Weight Championship.                    

This podcast was recorded in March of 2011. I've been waiting for the right time to release it as Real World:Back to Las Vegas and The Challenge: Rivals had stolen the spotlight. This Interview couldn't come with more ironic magic. Just the other day, one of my challenge cast mates decided to personally tweet me and embellish about a dance we once had in The Duel.

In this interview, a question about Wes comes up and I, in return, finally express my true thoughts about this guy. At the same time, the same guy who has interviewed and predicted a future championship for Jonny "Bones" Jones interviews me and asks me the tough questions. Jon Jones will be defending his title for the 1st time vs. "Rampage" Jackson, 2 weeks from now.

This interview actually went on for about 2 hours and we lost audio after 58:58. This interview starts off a little slow as Tim Koskuba @KO_Skuba and I get a feel for each other.  Around 16 minutes we hear about how the podcast came about, how Kenny got involved, questions surrounding Wes, my favorite Challenge, the challenge and steroids, the challenge and marriage, my son and his potential thoughts. We soon get cut off by the ghost that tends to appear on the podcast at times. I guess the rest just wasn't meant to be at this point and time.

Another solid pod. Big thanks to "TKO" Tim KOskuba for making this possible. Hope everyone enjoys an inside look from my point of view.

On Saturday, September 10th, from 2:00pm to 2:00am, check out Faded Fest 2011 on East Carson Street in the South Side. Faded Fest is an enormous all-ages Pittsburgh showcase featuring over 70 Acts, including Local Artists and Bands, DJs, Designers, and much more. The event will use multiple venues, including Diesel, District 3, Jimmy D's, Levelz, Rex Theater, Z-Lounge, Villa, The Smiling Moose, and more.

And for today only: Anyone that purchases their FADED FEST 2011 ticket online today gets a free Faded Industry vinyl decal, and is entered into a drawing to win a free Faded Fest T-Shirt or Faded Fest Dog Tag. Multiple winners will be chosen at random.

Music Comic and talent network artist Mark Eddie was recently a part of the 2011 Scott Medlock and Robby Krieger Invitational Annual Golf and Concert Event, benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, in which he got to perform with a number of iconic artists. “Another wonderful charity event for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital…Together with Robby Krieger (The Doors), Johnny Lang, Lita Ford (The Runaways), Tommy Thayer (Kiss), Jackie Flynn (actor/comedian), Nick Simmons (Family Jewels) and many, many more, we rocked the house and raised a bunch of money for the cause. Good friends Scotty Medlock (PGA Commissioned Artist) and Robby Krieger pulled out all the stops and made it happen.”

Musician Lee Alverson Composes Original Music for Flight 93 National Memorial Campaign

International performer and talent network artist Lee Alverson has composed the original music for the Flight 93 National Memorial Campaign, featured in a 9/11 short film.

Comedian, host and talent network artist Frank Nicotero will be the host of the new series "The Game of Life" on Hub TV Network, premiering Saturday, September 17th at 6:00pm.

"The Game of Life" - the new half-hour Hub Original Series -  is based on the classic board game, and will re-imagined for television, featuring "the iconic car, the clickety-clack of the rainbow-colored spinner, and a road trip bound for roadblocks and obstacles we all encounter on our journey through life… following two families who get a chance at the jumbo spinner and a one-of-a-kind car ride through a completely immersive 3-D virtual world."
