Comedian Theo Von will be appearing at The Improv all weekend, beginning tonight Thursday, April 28 at 8:00pm. Friday, April 29's show will also begin at 8:00pm. Saturday (April 30) and Sunday (May 1)'s shows will begin at 7:00pm.

The Louisiana native may best be recognized from his five seasons spent on the MTV Real World/Road Rules Challenges. He has appeared on Comedy Central's "Reality Bites Back" and Season 4 of NBC's "Last Comic Standing." Theo is also the creator of Cranktexts.com. With seven years of stand-up under his belt, his routines include rants about his dysfunctional family, the South, girls, etc.

Nursery rhymes may not seem like the best audition material, but allow Edward Reid to prove this notion wrong.

Reid did his own rendition of several childhood nursery rhymes on "Britain's Got Talent," adding his own flair and humor. Reid won over the crowd in a performance that was dramatic, creative and engaging for the listener (who doesn't know the words to almost every nursery rhyme?). Yet Reid presents the material in an entertaining, original way. Reid's performance worked really well with a huge audience like the one on "Britain's Got Talent," and he ended with a standing ovation.

"Rio" Remains in #1 Spot Over Easter Weekend | "Madea's Big Happy Family" and "Water For Elephants" Not Far Behind

"Rio" ruled Easter Weekend's Box Office, which isn't all that surprising if we look back at last weekend's Box Office, when the animated film crushed the competition. This weekend, "Rio" took in $26.8 million, bringing it's overall gross to $81.3 million nationwide. The Easter-themed movie of the weekend, "Hop," landed at #4, earning $12.5 million and reaching the $100 million mark overall.

The new movies of April 22's weekend included "Madea's Big Happy Family" which came in at #2 with $25.8 million, "Water for Elephants," which earned $17.5 million and came in at #3, and "African Cats," which came in at #6 and brought in $6.4 million.

Did anyone venture out for a movie this weekend? I saw "Water for Elephants," and it was good (the movie earned an A- from CinemaScore). It's based on the book by Sara Gruen, and both the book and movie are definitely worth checking out.

West Virginia Basketball Coach, Bob Huggins, will be roasted this Wednesday, April 27 at Meadows Casino. Comedian David Michael will MC the night and DVE personality Mike Wysocki is one of the many roasters.

Other roasters include Archie Miller (Head Coach Dayton), Tony Caridi (WVU Announcer), Bill Stewart (WVU Football Coach), Earl Ray Tomblin (Governor of WV), and Mick Cronin (Cincinnati Coach), Bob Bolen (Head Coach Mountain State University), and Joe Mazzulla (West Virginia Mountaineer).

The night begins at 7pm. And a silent auction will be held with proceeds benefiting the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Endowment Fund at the Mary Babb Randolph Center.

18,000 Sing The National Anthem at Pittsburgh Penguin Playoff Game at Consol Energy Center

On Friday, April 15 at the Pittsburgh Penguin’s game, Sgt. Bob Timney took on Jeff Jimerson’s job singing the National Anthem. For the first-ever Playoff game at the Consol Energy Center and the first Playoff game of the season, the fans were, to say the least, invested.

Timney obviously felt the energy of the crowd because he soon turned the microphone over to the thousands filling the Consol, and they took to singing the anthem themselves. With the mic no longer needed, Timney became a part of the 18,000 singing voices. Definitely goosebump-worthy.

I love stuff like this…when everyone is in sync with one another, even if it is just for a few moments. Here’s to this becoming a tradition!

April 15's weekend’s Box Office featured three new movies: “Scream 4,” “Rio,” and “The Conspirator.” I’d like to say it was a close competition, but let’s look at the numbers: “Rio” topped the charts, making $40 million, earning two times the amount of its fiercest competitor, “Scream 4,” which came in at #2 with $19.3 million. The third new movie, “The Conspirator” came in at #9, earning $3.92 million. “Hop,” the #1 movie for the past two weeks, is still holding strong at #3, earning $11.2 million.

It's all over folks. A winner has been crowned in the Inaugural "Challenge Madness: Total Elimination" tournament. This one shinning moment belongs to Landon originally from MTV'S Real World Philadelphia He ousted arguably the toughest female competitor in challenge history. Two #1 Seeds faced off in a battle that saw voting back and forth early and close at the halfway point but in the end Lando 'the Commando' proved once again to be one of the best to ever play the game.

"Hop" leaped into the #1 spot during April 1's Weekend Box Office, earning $38.1 million in its opening weekend. The comedy, starring Russell Brand and James Marsden, beat out Jake Gyllenhaal's "Source Code," which came in at #2 earning $15.1 million and the horror/thriller "Insidious" which earned $13.5 million and came in at #3. Landon who battled C.T. to the late hours in an earlier round was back and forth as well with The Miz. There must have been over 25 lead changes in the 2+ days of voting but in the end Landon doesn't take the WWE title but keeps his hopes alive for the bracket madness title prevailing by a little over 200 votes. In the other male match-up, friends, cast mates and podcast partners Kenny and Derrick stepped in to the inferno for what proved to be a close battle throughout only to see Kenny to pull away late for the win. As usual Derrick left the Inferno black, blue and bruised giving Kenny all he could handle.
