Troy Ridgley of TNT Promotions has been quoted as saying "It doesn't rain in Troy Ridgley's World."  This past Saturday in Pittsburgh it did not rain at the Rivers Casino which was Mr. Ridgley's world for the "War on the Shore" boxing card presented by 8-Time World Champion Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr.  Mr. Ridgley is an area native who starred as a high school football player at Ambridge Area High School, Notre Dame, The World League and the NFL.  The 'TNT Promotions' company is partnered with Roy Jones Jr. promoting boxing events and sports promotions to small venues across the country. This is there fifth boxing promotion in Pittsburgh.

For a week 60% chance of rain was being predicted for this outdoor event.  It was gloom and doom staring, Ridgley, Jones and the Casino square in the face and then for no explainable reason 0% chance of rain appeared on the Doppler radar Saturday morning.  Mr. Ridgley said he hit the refresh button on his Doppler radar weather feed over 300 times last week only to see bad news ahead but he knew it would not rain on his parade, it never does.  The only rain in the ring Saturday night was a rain of punches as the six-bout card was full of action and TKO's.  A card filled with Pittsburgh area fighters did not disappoint as the locals were all victorious.  Pittsburgh area headliner Monty Meza-Clay continued his home turf win streak of three in a row running his record to 30-3 w/20 KO'S.  Meza-Clay dominated his opponent Carlos "El Rayo" Rivera with a mix of style, speed and power that is his best showing to date since his 2009 elbow injury knocked him out of a top 15 ranking.

Thanks to Matt Stewart of the Rivers Casino and the fantastic staff, Roy Jones Jr., the 'TNT Promotions' team of Tammy Ridgley, Troy Ridgley, Mark Yankello, Rebecca McCormick & James Houk for their professionalism and inside access to this great event.

Check out full reviews of the event from the real writers linked below.
