Google Art Project enables you to view art more intensely than ever before and is a "unique collaboration with some of the world's most acclaimed art museums to enable people to discover and view more than a thousand artworks online in extraordinary detail." With just a click of your mouse, you can see brush strokes, colors, cracks, details formally unseen to the eye and "explore museums from around the world, discover and view hundreds of artworks at incredible zoom levels, and even create and share your own collection of masterpieces."
There are a select amount of museums involved in the Project, including The Museum of Modern Art [MOMA] in New York City, the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin, the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, the National Gallery in London, the Palace of Versailles in France, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, The State Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia, and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. The other Museums involved in the Google Art Project can be found here...
