May 6's Weekend Box-Office was ruled by the comic-book inspired "Thor," which brought in $66 million nationally and $176 internationally. "Thor" received a B+ from CinemaScore and revolves around the "powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth."

In second place was "Fast Five," which earned $32.5 million this weekend and reached the $100 million mark, earning $140 million nationally and $184.8 million internationally. Movies in their opening weekend included "Jumping the Broom," which earned $13.7 million and came in at #3 and "Something Borrowed," which earned $13.1 million and came in at #4.
