'Dancing with the Stars' Season 11 Cast: Bristol Palin, The Hoff, The Situation and More

ABC has announced the 12 cast members for season 11 of Dancing with the Stars, and if you've followed the spoilers over the past few days and weeks, there should be absolutely no surprises. The list includes a Brady and a politician's daughter.

The Situation: The ab-showing Jersey Shore star will be forced upon one of the unlucky pro dancers who will have to pretend that he's actually a star. His style may work for MTV, but I doubt it will travel to the middle America moms who watch DWTS.

Michael Bolton: Welcome to the '90s. I'll be curious to see if all those women who used to love Bolton will flock back.

Brandy: The former R&B star will be dancing. Her brother, Ray J, famously made a sex tape with former DWTS celeb Kim Kardashian, so it would be hilarious if she got paired with her partner, Mark Ballas.

Florence Henderson: Filling out the token old person spot is Carol Brady. At 76 years old, she's definitely pushing the envelope.

The Moth Scores Big In Pittsburgh With Jimmy Krenn

Last night I was lucky enough to be one of 500+ people at the New Hazlett Theater over on the North Side. They were hosting another edition of The Moth entitled: Nerves of Steel: Stories of Moxie and Might. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, as I had never been to a 'storytelling' show before. There were 5 'storytellers', one more intriguing than the other with their bios to prove it. Amongst them was our own Jimmy Krenn, who was asked to be a part of the production earlier this summer. A group of us from the office went to support Jimmy, and the arts, at this unique production.

Our evening's host was Jessi Klein who is a writer performer. She has appeared on Best Week Ever, The Today Show, Comedy Central, and CNN. She's written for the movies and some shows, including Saturday Night Live. She kept the night rolling in between each storyteller. There was also a xylophone player that kept time, and when the storytellers had one minute left, a bell would ring. If they went over their time, the music would cut them off - just like a drawn out acceptance speech at the Oscars.


The storytellers of the evening were George Dawes Green, the founder of The Moth, Amy Cohen, writer/producer, Greg Walloch, solo performer, Allison Amend, visiting professor at the University of Pittsburgh, and our very own Jimmy Krenn, radio personality and stand-up comedian.


Everyone had an amazing 10-minute story to tell, including a families struggle with selling a plantation, the decision to get a preventative surgery to avoid hereditary cancer, dealing with a disability, facing the fact that your family was being targeted by a hate crime, and the courage of a 9-year old as an altar boy during his first Mass in front of his whole family, improvising his way through prayers. Each story had you captivated from the beginning, and all of them were amazing. 


We are very excited that Pittsburgh got to host this one-night-only evening, and we can't wait for it to come back!

Part 3 of a Three-Part Series

Roy Jones Jr's Square Ring in conjunction with TNT Sports Promotions and the Rivers Casino are bringing boxing back to Pittsburgh this weekend. Friday night weigh-in's and autograph session and Saturday night the Rumble on the River under the stars of the outdoor amphitheater.

'TNT Sports Promotions' is a tri-state area sports promotions company headed up by husband and wife Troy and Tammy Ridgley.

Tammy and Troy have known boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. for over 14 years and this friendship has lead to a business relationship that promotes boxing, MMA and an upcoming clothing line.

We were able to catch up with Troy Ridgley for a phone interview. Talking points included teaming up with Roy Jones Jr., the local 154 Boilermakers, the local Pittsburgh fighters on the card/Bill Hutchinson, Troy's Football career that started at Ambridge High School, then Notre Dame and included 8 years in the NFL, the setup at the Rivers Casino Amphitheater, Friday Night Weigh-in's and Roy Jones Jr's "True Legacy Clothing" Line.

Bill Hutchinson is one of the Pittsburgh fighters on the card this Saturday night at the Rivers Casino "Rumble on the River" presented by Roy Jones Jr.'s Square Ring & TNT Sports Promotions. (Read: Pittsburgh's Rivers Casino Gambles Boxing will be a Knockout. We Agree.)

Bill stopped by the 'talent network news' podcast studios to talk with host Frank Murgia about his fight which will be the first fight on the card (7pm) this Saturday night.  Bill says..'arrive early and don't blink.'  Bill has been boxing for eight years on and off and won the golden gloves in the sub novice and novice division. He also trains and competes in MMA as well.  In our interview we touch on his fighitng career as a boxer, his 41 second MMA submission,  taking college classes while still in high school,  his plan to turn pro, working with highly respected trainer Tom Yankello and even being a part of an ESPN football show which featured Dick Butkus.
