talent network, inc entertainment agency based in Pittsburgh is bringing Fabio Viviani, a fan favorite on Bravo's 'Top Chef,' to town for cooking demo's and a book-signing.


Fabio Viviani's charming personality and thick Italian accent made him a popular contestant on season 5 of Bravo TV's "Top Chef: New York" reality series.

Even though he was the first finalist eliminated, he was named the season's Fan Favorite. Since then, he has moved on to new endeavors, including plans to expand his restaurant in Southern California and the release of a collection of authentic Italian recipes.

Viviani will visit two Pittsburgh area Giant Eagle Market District stores — in Bethel Park and Shadyside — on Saturday as part of a 13-city book signing tour in support of "The Cafe Firenze Cookbook" (Brio Press, $29.99).

The book features a selection of gourmet dishes created by Viviani, paired with martini recipes by his childhood friend in Italy, business partner and mixologist Jacopo Falleni. The two are co-owners -- along with Viviani's father-in-law, Mike Takeda -- of Cafe Firenze Italian Restaurant and Martini Bar in Moorpark, Calif., where Viviani serves as executive chef.

"It's the first cookbook written in broken English," Viviani says of their literary debut.
