  • HBO is taking Curb Your Enthusiasm back into production this December for a seventh season. Ten new 30m episodes will be ready to debut in 2009. The comedy completed its sixth season, headlined by Larry David and Cheryl Hines, in November 2007.
  • E! Entertainment showcases its next competition reality series Party Monsters: Cabo in the Mexican Riviera premiering on December 2 at 10p. The plot focuses on nine party planners who each try to outdo the others by throwing the ultimate party at the luxury LG Villa in Cabo for A-list celebrities such as P. Diddy, Carmen Electra, Brody Jenner and more. Michele Merkin will serve as host and judge along with Brian Worely and the guest celebrity featured in each episode. The series is from 3 Ball Productions (The Biggest Loser and Beauty and the Geek) in association with Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment (Scott Baio is 45 and Single).
  • ABC will not air the 30-minute Barack Obama special this Wednesday, keeping Pushing Daisies in its normal time slot instead, according to THR. The Obama campaign bought half-hours on CBS, NBC and FOX at 8p on Wednesday paying $1 million per network.
  • AMC's incredible season two finale of Mad Men on Sunday night at 10p racked up 1.75 million total viewers and a 1.4 HH rating, based on Fast Nationals Coverage Area Ratings. The last episode also tallied 2.9 million total viewers over three airings at 10p, 11p and 1a.
  • HBO's sixth season of Entourage will add Gary Cole as a regular cast member, per THR. Cole will portray a Hollywood agent named Andrew Klein who is an old friend of Ari's played by Jeremy Piven. Fans of the comedy will meet Cole's character this season in three episodes airing next month. Entourage is currently at the mid-point of its fifth season and will begin production for the new season early in 2009.
