Live from Hollywood...

OK! Magazine Says Britney's New Lover Is A Woman.

Shannon Funk, a one-time assistant to Britney Spears, Tuesday night was served with a subpoena from Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, TMZ.com reports.

Funk joins a long list of people being used against Spears in a vicious custody battle.

Since February, Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, have shared joint custody of 23-month-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James.

Kaplan said Federline is seeking additional custody because the two boys are "isolated from risks" when they are with his client. He declined to elaborate.

A hearing on the custody modification request is set for Sept. 17.

But Spears -- and Funk -- will undoubtedly be making headlines before that date.

OK! Magazine recently gave Brit a chance to set the record straight -- at Funk’s request -- about all of the controversy surrounding her and instead published the details of a bizarre sit-down with the pop star that was nothing short of a train wreck.

On Friday, a photo of a topless Spears getting a more-than-friendly kiss from Funk will grace the cover of OK! Magazine along with a headline alleging that Funk is Brit's new lover.

While Spears relationship status remains unknown, one thing is certain: Funk will play a key role in the Spears-Federline custody fight. Source: cbs-la

KING MISTAKEN FOR VANDAL

Celebrated author STEPHEN KING was mistaken for a vandal in an Australian bookstore after signing books for fans. The horror novelist was visiting Dymocks store in Alice Springs when he was accused by a customer of vandalising property on Tuesday (14Aug07).
Store manager Bev Ellis says, "As the owner of a bookshop, when you see someone writing in one of your books you get a bit toey (touchy). So we immediately ran to the books and lo-and-behold here was the signature in several books. "We sort of spun around on our heels, (saying) 'where did he go, where did he go'." Ellis says the customer purchased one of the six books signed by King.

JENNA BUSH IS ENGAGED

Jenna Bush, one of President Bush's twin daughters, is engaged to be married to her longtime boyfriend, Henry Hager, the White House announced Thursday.
Asked if the two were getting married in the Rose Garden, Sally McDonough, press secretary for first lady Laura Bush, replied: "They have not set any details, date or place."
Jenna Bush, 25, and Hager, 29, were engaged in Maine on Wednesday, she said.
The two have been dating for several years, and Hager is often seen at Jenna Bush's side at family Bush functions and formal events, such as a White House dinner in November 2005 in honor of Britain's Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Hager will be returning to school this fall to complete his master's degree in business administration at the University of Virginia. He has an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University.

Hager, who has been a White House aide and worked on Bush's re-election campaign, is the son of John and Maggie Hager of Richmond, Va. His father is chairman of the Republican Party in Virginia, former assistant secretary of the Education Department's office of special education, former lieutenant governor of Virginia and former director of Virginia's Office of Commonwealth Preparedness.
